Stott Pilates is a contemporary approach to Joseph Pilates' original exercise method. Pilates has something to offer people of all ages, levels of ability and fitness, from beginners to elite athletes. Pilates exercises are done on a mat or using specialised equipment. This equipment gives support for people with certain medical conditions, health concerns, physical limitations or injuries. it also provides a workout for people looking for more of a challenge or elite athletes looking to compliment their training and reduce the risk of injury. Practitioners say regular Pilates can help reduce stress, improve posture, core and peripheral strength, flexibility, balance and joint mobility. It is also excellent for rehabilitation after surgery or injury. The Pilates method is Recommended by doctors, physiotherapists, osteopaths and chiropractors.
